Surf Cup

The San Diego Surf Cup continues to be the summer showcase for youth soccer’s Best of the Best for over 30 years! The San Diego Surf Cup draws the attention of thousands of spectators each year and attracted over 450 college coaches and scouts in 2016. There’s no better place to play and be recognized.

All games will be played on pristine grass fields at either the Surf Cup Sports Park in Del Mar or So Cal Sports Complex in Oceanside, California.

NEW THIS YEAR: All teams (non-DA) are guaranteed four (4) competitive games. Tournament play on Saturday and Sunday of 3 games. Monday the top 4 teams will play in Semis with the winners playing a 5th game in the Finals. All other finishers will play a consolation game on Monday as their 4th game. All top flight winners will receive winner’s jackets; with trophies and individual awards will be presented to all finalists and champions.

Surf Cup will offer top flight competitive play for all US Soccer Development Academy teams as well under the guidance and direction of US Soccer. These teams will play 3 full length games in a showcase format, with one day of rest on Sunday.

ENTRY FEES
U10 – $950.00 US Dollars
U11 through U14 – $1,395.00 US Dollars
U15 through U19 – $1,495.00 US Dollars

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: June 2, 2017

Teams that drop in writing prior to the June 2, 2017 entry deadline will be given a refund minus a $75.00 administration fee. No refunds will be granted for teams dropping after June 2, 2017.

Team selections are made by our Competition Committee based upon an evaluation of their current and past record. Please be as thorough as possible on your application, head to head matchups against top competition are the Committee’s sole focus. GotSoccer points are not taken into consideration.

Acceptance notifications will be e-mailed on or before June 9, 2017. Teams outside of Cal South will be given an acceptance decision within two (2) weeks after receiving the application provided the application and payment is received no later than May 15, 2017.

HOTEL REQUIREMENTS

Teams using hotel rooms are required to obtain them from our approved hotels, using the group reservation procedure established by Surf Cup Sports and Maverick Sports. Reservations will not be available until a team has been accepted into the tournament. Once accepted, you will be directed to the link to make hotel reservations. You may not make hotel reservations until ACCEPTED.

All regular tournament team travel arrangements must be made to include participation in the mandatory registration 1 hour minimum before the team’s first scheduled game. The earliest bracket games begin at 8:00 A.M. on Saturday. The last game on Monday will begin at 4:30 p.m. We will have electronic registration available, please watch for communication about this acceptance.
